Back in 6 weeks, Off to WA

Tomorrow will be my last day in the NT for the next 6 weeks. I am heading to Western Australia for a long awaited trip through the Kimberlys, Broome, Pilbra and Bungles.

I am also pleased to have received an email from Flemming Bo Jensen of his intention to join Rod and I for a few days from Broome to Cape Laveque before he heads back to his hometown. It will be great to put a face to many emails over the past 12 months.

I will try and post a small blog along the way, but if I dont be sure to come back and have a look at my new images from this trip in July.

  1. Have a brilliant time on the Gibb Casey, I will see you in Broome!

I am so grateful, thankful and humbled you and Rod have invited me to come along to Cape Leveque. Whether you’ll still be pleased after the trip remains to be seen, I promise you’ve never met anyone like me :D And keep an eye on your 617 or I might just go walkabout with that beauty :)

  2. Its will be a great trip for sure, but you had better be fit because if my camera goes missing, then 200kms is a long walk home. :) :) .

    See you in Broome Flemming.

  3. all the best on your trip Casey ! brings back memories for myself when I travelled through those regions back in the day before mobile phones, digital cameras and laptops were parts of everyday life and travelling….time moves fast ! I can’t wait to get back up there myself !
So have heaps of fun and enjopy you experience and I look forward to travelling back there in july via your images !

    cheers,

  4. Thank you Tony for your comments and most of my trip will be shot on either the Linhof or the Blad, so no batteries needed, no chargers, just a light meter and film and I am set. Just a pity I dont have a 220 back for the blad. I am taking the Canon but I wont be shooting much on that, just 35mm shots and also as a record for me so I can look back on the days.

  5. Have fun mate

  6. Thanks Michael, will be sure to have fun, pity you couldn’t make it to the Pilbra.

  7. WOO HOO ! ! !
12 more sleeps to go….. cya in Broome Casey & Felmming

    • Hi Rod, one week today and we will see you in Broome, its so good to be off the Gibb River Road along with the dust and corrugations, but it was still great to see a small amount of the Kimberly along the way. I may be in Broome earlier than I thought. will call the YHA tomorrow and see how I go.

      Case.
