Gantheaume Point, Broome WA

Gantheaume Point

Going through my photos from my recent trip to Western Australia from my digital camera, I found this shot of a sunset at Gantheaume Point which is located at the end of Cable Beach.

I took this during the few days I had by myself and was waiting for Rod and Flemming to arrive before we headed off to Cape Laveque. I was pretty pleased with the amount of cloud cover we had while we were there, and as a lady said to me on the beach when I mentioned that it was odd that we were getting the sort of clouds and weather during the dry season. She said to me that each year they get 2 weeks of strange weather and that we were in it. It even rained on the last day we were at Karijini, which was great for packing up.

  1. Very nice clouds, must have been Wednesday? Composition I am not entirely sold on I have to admit.

Strange weather indeed, remember the mega thunderstorm when we woke up in Broome. We were lucky we were there while the strange weather happened, I got some unbelievable clouds on Cable Beach the week before Kimberley.
