Storm Cloud- Katherine

Katherine Storm CloudThis afternoon and I am sure every afternoon for the next 4-6 months the tempreture and the humidity of the days will increase. These days are very common during the summer months in the northern parts of Australia. So with each afternoon the storm clouds build up at around 4.00 and we get formations unlike this one or better each day. As I was taking this photo there are very dark rain clouds behind me and I hope that this afternoon we get some much needed rain as its only rained here twice since mid April, and as you can see in the foreground its very dry.

Tony Middleton has been kind enough to give me a full explanation of the type of storm cloud it is, Please read his comments below. Thanks again Tony.

Maya Bay

Maya Bay

Last week I had the pleasure of spending 10 nights at Phi Phi Islands Holiday Inn resort. This was a launching pad for many of the wonderful islands and coastlines that are located in the area.

Maya Bay (The beach) is pretty much the same as it looks in the movie, but we were told that they added ore palms trees for the movie. That aside this beach is just magnificent and just as nice to swim in as well.

For anyone considering doing a trip I would highly recommend it. I still have a film that is in Sydney at the moment being processed and I will add one shot on here from my slides.

Chris’s Mustang

Tonight I had the pleasure of photographing Chris’s Mustang for him.

Chris bought this car as a shell just over 12 years ago and has been restoring it since then and as funds became available to him, this was in between Chris and his wife buying a house and raising two children.

Chris was very particular when doing any work to his car, he and anyone else that helped him were not allowed to were any clothing that had buckles or studs in thier shorts, no watches were allowed, no sunglasses on the head incase they fell off. To his credit and hard work this car is in immaculate condition and the 12 years hard work has paid of for him which could be seen on his face as he looked on from a distance.

We planned to take some photos as the sun was setting on the car and it wasn’t until after the sun had set and there was that nice warm glow that we got some of the best shots, and this was one of them. We had the fire fighters also spray the tarmac with some water.
